Only in niche markets, job markets still seem to newcomers to score points, so the claims of the big job boards are plugged so already, and to be defended to the death. CB will also receive a hefty swing personalrekrutierende not only customers but also a further extremely valuable domain, namely Jobs.de on the JS24 for years provide a local job search engine. Definitely one not to be neglected asset in this deal, especially for SEO managers on the part of CB.

CB's EMEA boss Tony Roy seems highly satisfied in all cases:

“This is an exciting partnership with a reputable and well known brand that reinforces our competitive position in this important market. With the merger of CareerBuilder and JobScout24 are employers and candidates access to a wider choice of services and greater visibility on the market, “

I'm really curious about how the integration of JS24 at CB succeed, because in the last major acquisition of a U.S. job market than the U.S. Monster has bought the German market and sympathy leader Jobpilot, the integration was indeed something in the pants, then run the two brands today in parallel, although they had made seven years ago a rapid shutdown of the pilot job site in view. Curiously, pilot job is still more popular than the German monster, even if only virtually Jobpilot yes is still a dummy.

Brand, and also the site of JobScout24 will be maintained on each case, but in the future run on Career Builder technology. Considered a real pity, because purely subjective, I find the search JS24 significantly better. Just steps from here so great JS24 in the last few months have been made. Anyway JS24 CEO Daniel Smuda since taking office has done a great job, and the Munich-based company recently brought even the most successful half year of all time – certainly a big factor in initiating this acquisition

In any case, probably a good deal for both sides – I am curious as to respond to online job boards industry in this message, and how the whole thing will evolve! Congratulations to each case at my old employer JobScout24, and his entire team, sowieo to the boys and girls from Career Builder

Google and SEO're usually more topics for my personal blog, but Google has recently received approval for a patent, which has the potential to put the entire landscape of online job boards on the head!Only briefly to pick you mentally ->Google loves structured data! Those very structured data are also more and more again in the organic search, in the form of so-called OneBox.Google tries within the vertical search logics to integrate conventional search results. Google's new recipes Search is a nice example of how to make a nice vertical, multi-faceted search logic using structured data on the legs.

Or even better ->A prime example is Google's Product Search, the, is the structured data of the connected shops is much, more and more to its own price search engine. It recently had a few price comparator in the Panda update insert heavy casualties, acts less like an accident, rather than sophisticated strategy, in advance of future developments in this area to eliminate any competition.

Of course I can fool my nose too, but a souped-up Product Search, based on the structured data with one-one products with price comparison and cost-per-order compensation plan – which search engines CEO clucks his tongue not there?

Why should not Google

Google Even's acquisition of ITA, one on the management of flight information company specializing in, leaves a Travel Search Product glimpse on the horizon, with which one could offer to the searcher when entering a relevant search string directly fares and routes for comparison, and the booking according to this same affiliate base mitverdient.

Evil or not – can make because most Fares anyway with more or less work the same database, and Google through the technology of ITA at least an equivalent product on the legs, it makes so much sense to the user the desired present results directly to the search field, click another one without him, then send to one of several there twining Fares must. At the end, it's Google's always about making the search ends up happy, and if you can provide the user a better result, a Click “closer”, then won a lot!

So, I hope, I have picked up reasonably well thematically, so that we can already now with the above-mentioned patent go.

As many as three studies have now fallen to me in the eye – the Association of Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media, or even short BITKOM found in a representative survey found that half of all employees during working hours, the Internet and private uses. This is not surprising really, even though many companies are trying to become the most extreme time-killer, as Ex.To block Facebook for their workforce. Private e-mail correspondence can be shut out, however difficult, above all, because companies can not simply sniff, whether an employee uses his computer for private purposes. Eight percent of respondents said honestly that they even play online games during work hours – again, I would have expected a much larger number, because it is always amazing how many people but between 9-to-5 any farms, cities or mafia mobs manage …

Even more exciting are these results in combination with the results of the Cisco Connected World Technology Report 2011, reveals that 7 out of 10 students almost expect that a future employer also allows the private use of social networks on the office PC! About a third of respondents are in the job search, access to social networks, and the use of private equipment more important than the content! No wonder companies like Google, Facebook and other startups in the higher price at BlueChip graduates are as old and crusty old economy companies.

But a little scary

Is the study of Cisco already, as many as 40% of surveyed students have their Internet activities, and contacts as a real important meeting with friends and acquaintances – WHOA! Already one third of the respondents is so addicted to the internet that it is for them on the same level as water, food, air, and the protective roof over your head – Abraham Maslow would turn at the sight of such results, probably in his grave …

I was also far more likely believe that LinkedIn is more suitable for internationally networked networker, while being in Germany for almost everyone seems XING. But this seems to be changing very solid, so I've now heard from several people that they have canceled their premium membership with XING, and now more will be present on LinkedIn. Especially in my area has one now also stands to do very much with international contacts, so why have a presence on multiple platforms, especially where the country really XING boundary has little awareness?
